About Us
We create socially resonant screen stories and champion accessibility, working across production and access coordination to drive meaningful change in the industry.
Dower Productions is dedicated to creating authentic, inclusive work that reflects the diverse experiences of contemporary Australia. Our projects are bold, socially resonant, and driven by the belief that storytelling should both entertain and create change.
Founded by Brisbane-based producer, consultant, and access coordinator Stephanie Dower, the company builds on her experience across short films, TVCs, and digital series, alongside a slate of ambitious new projects in development. Collectively, the Dower Productions team brings years of local and international screen experience, with work spanning feature film, documentary, and online content. At the heart of this slate is a commitment to inclusivity, particularly the promotion of disability representation both on-screen and behind the camera.
Alongside screen production, Dower Productions is one of the few companies in Queensland offering specialised Access Coordination services to film productions, festivals, and live events. This unique capability ensures people with disability can participate fully and safely in creative endeavours, setting a new benchmark for accessibility within the screen industry.
Looking ahead, Dower Productions is committed to building a slate of ambitious projects from feature films to web series, from documentary to narrative drama and contributing to a screen industry that is authentic, inclusive, and globally connected.
Our Team
Stephanie Dower
Realising her purpose in the screen industry, Stephanie approaches disability advocacy from every angle. She produces stories that champion under-represented voices, speaks on panels and programs across the country, delivers events that spotlight the impact of disability inclusion, and rolls up her sleeves for any committee where she can make meaningful change.
In a short time, she has become a leading expert in access and inclusion within the screen sector. Beyond her advocacy, Stephanie is a die-hard musicals fan, a proud aunty, and an avid traveller always plotting her next adventure.
